Simz with a surprise release, I wish I could have prepared but you can't take a Simz record for granted.
Immediately, there is a noticeable difference in the theme and atmosphere of this album compared to SIMBI's grand production which is replaced with a more laid-back and low-key selection of beats (All thanks to the genius Inflo). $oul $old $eparately isn't as sharp or refined as Alfredo but Freddie Gibbs still performs at a proficient level to satisfy anyone who enjoys excellent beats and hard bars. As always, Freddie begins another record with a banger, a common trait with his past albums such as Alfredo, Pinata, and Bandana. Tracks 3-5 bring about a slump of mediocre tracks but Lobster Omelette with a standard feature from Rick Ross cancels out those previous tracks.
