I love Marlon Craft. I came to check this out after listening to The Internet Killed The Neighborhood. While it wasnt as strong as Craft's last project, it is still solid and I enjoyed it.
I randomly decided to listen to this album because i wanted to check out more of Steve Lacy's work, this album was great, and aside from one or two tracks, I loved the album.
Absolute classic. not much else to say. Nutmeg is lowkey horseshit tho hot take.
Very good, first Chance album ive listened to and it was very good. Might listen to the big day next for shits and giggles lmao.
idk I don't think its as good as his other projects by far, but I also don't think its as bad as people say. its aight.
This album is not bad at all, but it just misses a lot of the magic the first two albums had. It's missing a lot of the guitar I love, and honestly, I got to say I disagree with the general consensus here. I think Ulysses is the worst song on the album and by far, honestly, it's the only one I would skip on re-listen. "Turn It On" or "No You Girls" are probably my favorites.
Only slightly worse than their self-titled debut, but still an amazing album. The guitar is still amazing which was my favorite part of their debut. I also love the slower songs on this album, while I don't prefer them over the faster ones, I commend that they tried something new, and I think it works extremely well for what it is. "The Fallen" and "Do You Want To" is one of the best one two gut punches on any album, and in my opinion, are the two best songs on the ... read more
One of the most fun albums I've ever listened to, so good in fact I would this proves that revival can be better than the original. The vocals are enthralling and the guitar on this album is actually the best I've ever heard. Also, shoutout to them for not allowing the Israeli Government to use their music at all, immediately taking legal action against them. We thank you.
I thought it was pretty good, I'm giving it a little bit of a high rating, (in its current form I'd give it a 75), because I think this will be like TLoP and he'll progressively fix it over time, and I think once everything unfinished is fixed up it'll be much better. I understand why a lot of people dislike the album, but personally I think it's been a large improvement over his recent work. I think Kanye is finally getting back into a good headspace, and it leaves me ... read more
It took me a couple listens to really warm up to this album, but I think it's one of the greatest indie projects ever, the vocal effects are haunting and beautiful, and every song resonates in your mind. Also, very fire album cover which gives it brownie points. I didn't know this was a reissue, but it's the only one on Spotify so It's the one I'll be rating.
One of the best albums I've listened too recently, and my favorite project this year. It reminds me a lot of Mac Miller in the best way possible. I also think the messaging on this album is absolutely beautiful, a lot of his feelings are similar to my own, so I find the album quite relatable. The melodies and beats on this album are also amazing, immediately sucking you in when you hear them. I don't normally focus on specific songs in my reviews but the beat in "If I Loved ... read more
Absolute banger, everything I would've expected from their first album. Ginger Lemonade is a top 5 Good Kid song already.
Honestly I was really disappointed with this. There's like three bangers, and the rest of it is very hard to sit through imo.
Honestly, I think I may need to listen to this again at some point, as I feel I am not giving it all the credit it deserves, but it's still a great album, and I absolutely love the melodies on it.
idk it's solid. Would definitely recommend, but I don't have any other thoughts.
Nearly perfect. Honestly, I don't have much more to say that hasn't already been said. This is a must listen for any Hiphop fan.
