I think that a lot of the "Death Grips revisionism" that it seems to me to be going on with music reviewers as of late comes from the "self-oversaturation" of their sound (which means a lot of fans have listened to a lot of DG back then and the explosivity got stale after all these years) and the ever so present annoyance most music listeners seem to have with the DG fanbase. it's really incredible that my ENORMOUS HATRED towards One More Time took like 4 points from this and almost made me not give it a 9. listened to it while watching Interstella too, it was great!

it's like they discovered how to do the perfect poppy alt rock song and instead of doing it for a whole album they just chose to have fun and dance around it.

a LOT of this album gets lost if you don't know what he's saying, since it's a conceptual spoken word album. there's way less poppy songs like there was on melody nelson to keep you distracted that you don't really know what he's saying, but that album at least had translations of its songs online. still, he managed to captivate me once again. I just wish I knew what the hell is being said.
