Melvins - Nude With Boots
95

Didnt't even intend to review or listen to this today. Just put it on and it played through. One of my fav Melvins ones for sure.

Thundercat - Apocalypse
95

My first Thundercat album and my first favorite Thundercat album.

Halsey - Ego
95

Love this.

Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk
80

Like a lot, don't love as much as everyone else. Seeing them next Sunday so let's see if I relisten and adjust later.

Drab Majesty - Modern Mirror
90

Packs so much punch in a <45 minute album. Ellipsis always makes its way onto my most recent playlist.

Soft Kill - Escape Forever
85

Seeing these guys live next weekend. Can't wait!

Little Feat - Dixie Chicken
100

This album cover used to freak me the fuq out.

Punch Brothers - The Phosphorescent Blues
85

They really go off on those classical ditties.

Punch Brothers - Hell on Church Street
70

Disappointingly mid overall with some standouts. Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald cover fucks tho.

Aoife O'Donovan - In the Magic Hour
100

The whole world is sleeping on Aoife O'Donovan. This is absolutely gorgeous music.

Tori Amos - Scarlet's Walk
100

I vividly remember buying this on CD at Borders.

Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
90

Incredible starting point for a fascinating and prolific career

Jeff Buckley - Grace
90

Love those tenor rock vocalists

Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns
90

Wading a little farther into the jazz territory after Court and Spark

Joni Mitchell - Don Juan's Reckless Daughter
90

Masterpiece -- I think almost every jazz era Joni album is a masterpiece but that's besides the point...

Lana Del Rey - Born to Die
90

This morning I saw how ugly Lana's new man is so decided to give this one a spin.

I was instantly reminded of how my ex shamed me for liking Born to Die when it came out saying it was boring and unmusical. For some reason I internalized that and never gave Lana a fair chance. I regret it because this is so fucking good.

Don't listen to men or their opinions...

Nia Archives - Silence Is Loud
95

This was delightful. Never going to not love dnb beats on a pop record.

70

If this was more freaky experimental/psych and less indie rock I'd probably relisten.
