Put this on while designing/working and it made me so fucking nostalgic for my college days. Outstanding.
1. Rest in Power Riley Gale
2. Last night I noticed a guy on HInge had the same Power Trip shirt as me and we matched and are going on a date Friday
Wild that this is considered the genre defining Deftones masterpiece and it isn't even in my personal top 3.
Definitely the Deftones album that gets the last playtime from me and listening back I can understand why. The good ones are overplayed and the not-as-goods are skips for a reason. Says something that I'm giving all this critique and still giving it an 85 tho.
This one has some real stinkers on it yet the math still maths out to a 90 in my book.
Crazy to think Deftones went on to make White Pony and Saturday Night Wrist but the genre spawned bands like Puddle of Mudd and like...POD n shit.
Did not grab me at first, but I'm glad I stuck with it because I got to jump down the Killdozer Wikipedia wormhole and encountered the most unexpected 90s eurodance cover I've ever heard.
How are there 0 Melvins albums marked as Must Hear? That's disrespectful.
Objectively amazing but somehow not my favorite. IDK why. When I figure it out I'll let ya'll know.
I don't care about the cold, baby. Cuz when you're hot, you're too much.
Maturity is when George Harrison becomes your favorite Beatle.
What is with P4k shitting on all my fav 90s heavy proggy alt albums? I'm glad ya'lls indie rock fest got cancelled.
