The first few songs of this record are kinda... meh. I really don't like the energy on them, it feels lazy, and I don't like the melodic performances from Rashad. The song with SZA is great. When he turns the energy up after that song it makes for great music!
I have no clue what she's saying most of the time lol but this project has so much energy it doesn't even matter to me. Every beat on here is different but similar in a way that's kinda comforting. The production on here is super forward-thinking and original, amazing debut album.

I'm obviously very biased as this was made by a friend of mine but I love this. First off, the beats were majestic and beautiful, I really love the production on here. Anytime a soul sample appears people say it sounds like Kanye but Hamza- sorry, Blacula, manages to keep it sounding fresh and original and not entirely based off his production.

This is an absolutely amazing album, with beautiful vocals and songwriting from Billie Eilish... I feel her album "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT" is a huge improvement on everything she tries on this record, but you can see the beginnings of that brilliance on this album. The best songs on here are memorable, and with tracks like "bad guy" blowing up it's easy to complain that there are better songs on here that deserve that virality.
