Mixtape Grades.
100 = 5.0 ⭐️ (Not One Weak Song)
90-99 = 4.5 ⭐️ (Great)
80-89 = 4.0 ⭐️ (Very Good)
70-79 = 3.5 ⭐️ (Good/Solid)
60-69 = 3.0 ⭐️ (Average)
50-59 = 2.5 ⭐️ (Disappointing but Okay)
< 50 = 🗑 or just not for me (Not rated)
⭐️ = Best song(s) on project
✅ = 👍🏻
❌ = 👎🏻
My rating system isn’t perfect. It might seem as simple as likes divided by amount of tracks but there are some exceptions. For example if you remix a song you only get credit for it once. It doesn’t matter if it’s a like or dislike. If I like the remix better than the original or vice versa I will treat them as separate songs. Songs that appeared on previous projects don’t count towards the rating of the new album. Intros, interludes, outros and skits don’t count unless they actually feel like a song. Example “BUSHY B INTERLUDE” by Denzel Curry or “Demoz” (Interlude) by Juice WRLD (ft. Brent Faiyaz) would count. Something like “Memphganistan” by Moneybagg Yo (ft. Kaash Paige) doesn’t count. Also length is something to consider. I have a separate list for LPs less than 30 minutes. Albums like “Kirk” by DaBaby or “La Maquina” by Conway don’t have many skips ibut they are short projects. While they have a higher rating than “From King To A GOD” (also by Conway) .FKTAG is probably the better project because it has a lot more music. Example FKTAG s 27 minutes longer than “La Maquina”. I’d still rather hear 40 minutes of 🔥 than 1 hour and 30 minutes with some 🔥 and a lot of filler.
*Perfect song length is 2:30-3:20 (150-200 seconds). However, a hit is a hit. “Bad & Boujee” = 5:43 & “SICKO MODE” = 5:13.
-Perfect length of an album 45 minutes (no longer than 1 hour)
*I listen to the entire album AT LEAST 3 times before giving the album it’s first rating.
Rating could change as some projects/songs get better with time and while others get tiresome.
