Enough time has passed. This album is actually fantastic, fileed with immaculate production, good features, along with being incredibly consistent in terms of sounds and the overall theme.
It is really one of Kanye's best work and one of the best albums of 2020's so far, and if you take out the part 2's (Except Jail pt.2) it can be considered a near perfect album.
P.S. Dababy's verse is a whole lot better than JAY-Z's
Perfect music for sleeping, and i mean it as a compliment.
Billie's delivery and flow in the chorus sounds like Technologic by Daft Punk
Random Access Memories is Daft Punk’s last album, and serves as their tribute to the genres they used to sample in their previous work. It is a love letter for Disco and Funk genres, and it’s also a farewell to their fans as RAM officially became Daft Punk’s last album after the duo announced their split in 2021.
But if RAM was the robots last input in the music industry, to me it was my introduction to music as a whole. See when i was young i didn’t even listen to ... read more
Best live album of all time!! And dare i say one of the best albums of all time? It is truly a unique album experience.
I mean the way they mash tracks and introduce textures and melodies of their tracks is just UNREAL.
The only negative here is that i didn’t get to witness it live.
(Edit 99->100 : I technically witnessed it in the Fortnite event so the album is a 100 now)
(PS. To fully enjoy this masterpiece you have to be familiar with Daft Punk’s work before 2007.)
A lot of songs here overstays its welcome, like most of the songs here are 5 minutes long when they could've been better if they were 3 minutes for example. Still decent effort.
I have read an interview with the robots in which they explain the concept behind every track on that album. It enhanced the way i experience this album so i thought maybe i should share it here, so here we go:
Discovery: The whole theme of the album is about experiencing new things as robots (this is when they started adopting the robots persona), that is also very disco. Very disco .. Disco very .. Discovery. Get it?
One More Time: It's like when you wake and start doing something in a ... read more
I love Daft Punk and i enjoyed listening to this album, but i have a few issues with it.
Most of the songs here feel like they are just a simple beat that will go on for like 5 or 6 maybe 7 minutes before it fades into silence without any sense of progression. Also i dont think that this album has stood the test of time very well unlike Discovery for example.
With that being said tho at the time of this records release, nobody was putting house music out there that was this bouncy and ... read more
I can't put into words how disturbing sounds. It's a very hard listeneing experience but in a good way ygm. Every track fits the whole vibe of the album perfectly. But i feel like you can't listen to any tarck on that album individually, like you can't listen to Everything in Its Right Place in a shuffled playlist. This album has to be listened to in the same order of the tracklist.
Anyway, I won't be returning to it anytime soon tho because of how depressing it is. And for that reason i won't ... read more
yall were overhyping that album and fantano hit u with a reality slap
