Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST
89

ABSOLUTE SUMMER ALBUM, GOT ALL THE FUCKING VIBES. This album Tyler starts rapping more and I feel Tyler is a more underrated rapper not artist because he can genuinely flow. The production just gives off vacation summer vibes and is just a perfect summer album. Sir Baudelaire got his toes out too.

Favorite Songs: Sir Baudelaire, Wusyaname, Hot Wind Blows, Massa, Manifesto, Sweet, Rise!, Juggernaut, and Safari.

Least Favorite Songs: Lemonhead, and Runitup.

Tyler, The Creator - Flower Boy
86

I love the evolution from Cherry Bomb to Flower Boy, when people start listening to Tyler I love seeing their reaction "HE WENT FROM SARAH TO SEE YOU AGAIN?! WHAT THE FUCK?!" it makes me laugh every single time. This album really made Tyler go mainstream and he started cementing himself high up on the rap charts. Although this isn't my favorite Tyler album it is still a really good listen.

Gorillaz - Gorillaz

This album was genuinely so ahead of its time, the production is so trippy and atmospheric. This album is nothing like their other work and delivers tons of bangers, I like how there is no meaning for anything on this album so it's just a bunch of random bangers all shoved in one album. I really love this album, it is peak and you can't change my mind.

Burger single handedly brings up my original rating.

Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo 2
85

A pretty great sequel to the original Alfredo, although not as good, the production from The Alchemist still hits and so does Freddie Gibbs lyricality. I do feel like they could've trimmed it at least a couple tracks because it started to sound like the same at the end, but all in all Alfredo 2 is a pretty successful sequel.

Favorite Songs: 1985, Mar-a-Lago, Lemon Pepper Steppers, Ensalada, Skinny Suge II, I Still Love H.E.R., Shangri La, Gas Station Sushi, and Gold Feet.

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo

Once again amazing production from The Alchemist and incredible rapping ability from Freddie Gibbs, the way The Alchemist incorporates all these 80's soul samples fit the album so well along with Freddie Gibbs flows and overall rapping style. This album has amazing features as well all holding their own on this album compared to Gibbs. Either way this album is something everyone can enjoy.

SWAG

Favorite Songs: Bitches, Ya Know, Lean, Analog 2 (One of Tyler's best produced songs.), Rella, Real Bitch, P, Sam (Is Dead), Doms, and Oldie.

Least Favorite Songs: NY (Ned Flander), White (I know people are going to tear me apart for that one.), and We Got Bitches.

Domo Genesis & The Alchemist - No Idols
87

This album goes insanely hard, and I was so surprised by how good it was knowing it was an OF era album. Alchemist killed the production and Domo did really good too, Domo has some bad lines here and there but nothing crazy. Even the posse cuts are insanely good, so my question is why have I never heard of this before?

Tyler, The Creator - Bastard

I love this album and still bump it no matter how dark it is, Tyler was ahead of his time with that N.E.R.D inspired production. Even if the lyrics are dark as hell, they are more of an interpretation of Tyler's feelings at the time. This album is surprisingly better than Goblin even if it is before his big break with Yonkers. This album builds such an eerie atmosphere that just intrigues you to listen even more. This is an underrated banger of an album and no one can change my ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb

Don't know why people hate this album, I was scared to listen to this album because people said it was so bad, I then proceeded to listened to it and I loved it. Maybe people hate that it's experimental and has a different sound, I genuinely don't know why. Tyler goes crazy on this album production wise and lyric wise, just the explosiveness of the mixing makes this album so fun, and more people are starting to come around to this album which is great. There is no other album ... read more

Mac DeMarco - Another One
79

Way better than Salad Days in my opinion, even if the runtime is very short Mac seems to step his game up with this EP. Still has that trademarked Mac Demarco sound but he seems to grow it out on this EP and gives us catchier tunes and melody's, this EP is just laid back, relaxing, and just a chill ride.

Favorite Songs: Another One, No Other Heart, A Heart Like Hers, Without Me, and My House By The Water.

Least Favorite Song: Just To Put Me Down.

Tyler, The Creator - Goblin

This album is strange, and I don't mean lyrical content, I just don't know how to review it, but I'll try. This is Tyler, The Creator's debut album and a very interesting one at best. While this album try's to be so edgy and rebellious, there is a little bit of charm to it, although it's not his best album by a mile, I hate how critics and reactors act like this album is straight up unlistenable, this album still has a bunch of bangers and is very entertaining. ... read more

Joey Valence & Brae - PUNK TACTICS
86

This is the debut of the alternative rap duo Joey Valence & Brae, the duo most known for imitating the Beastie Boys using their style, inflections and adding their own twist to it making it very enjoyable. The production is insane and goes so hard, although Joey Valence & Brae aren't the greatest rappers ever, the goofy bars and creativity makes for a very fun album.

MF DOOM - MM..FOOD
90

This album is so stylistically defined, the skits and cartoonish production all add so much to the experience. Doom proceeds to sprinkle various samples all over this album making me wonder where he found these, while also having the most badass superhero production ever. We get a little intermission where we get four skits in a row, the beats in the background of these skits are so good, the skits themselves are very entertaining as well. Doom somehow manages to keep up the theme of food ... read more

Joey Valence & Brae - HYPERYOUTH
70

I loved Punk Tactics and No Hands, so when I heard Joey Valence & Brae's next record was going to be somewhat pop I was a little worried. Although the pop esk tunes weren't my thing I was still very impressed by Joey's production abilities, his ability to make some neptunes type beat is really cool. Even if I didn't love every moment of this record the lyrics are still very heartfelt and touching talking about not wanting to grow up. Overall this album is not as good as ... read more

Mac DeMarco - Salad Days
73

I like this album a lot, the production is so good with Mac's usual wavy guitars and laid back drum beats. This is Mac's most popular album and it lives up to the hype. Some of this album is nice, chill and just a good easy listen, the problem with this album is that some of this album tries to hard to be depressing when it doesn't really work.

Favorite Tracks: Salad Days, Brother, Passing Out Pieces, Chamber Of Reflection, and Johnny's Odyssey.

Tyler, The Creator - Wolf
94

This is my favorite Tyler, The Creator album. Why? Because this album has everything in it, this album has amazing production with some Flower Boy influence before Flower Boy even existed. While the storytelling isn't anything crazy it really adds to the album as a whole in a nice way that sort of wraps the album in a bow. While this album has plenty of "hype" tracks, it ends in a pretty depressing way where Tyler vents about his grandmother passing to his therapist (Dr TC) and ... read more

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS
84

I was very surprised with this album and the quality of it. Joey brings his craziest production to date with tracks like Bussit, Like A Punk, Where U From, The Baddest and Omnitrix, where Brae also brings some great rapping to the table along with Joey. This album is more of a flex album with the messaging being look mama no hands as if they're showing off.

Overall, if you are looking for hardcore rapping and insane bars don't listen to this album, but this album is a super fun and ... read more
