what a step up from s.a.f.e, so many bangers on here, shut up, quez, eastside, we even got hipster strip club with clams casino like production. the features here are amazing as well. my favorite being dollar sign trav, back when he actually rapped without autotune.
good job tj, you did well.
very dated sound but i enjoyed it somewhat, not gonna revisit it often though. TJ has charisma even if his lyrical ability is pretty bare bones.
basic boring club rap that all sounds the same, such a slog to get through, and pretty much every track here just went through one ear and out the other.
worse then his debut for sure, I'm not a huge fan of the love songs, the bangers hit though, especially that Pusha T track which is the best on the album for me. The final three tracks are also really great.
zero clue what these guys are saying but its hard so i don't mind
WOOPAAA
wanted to get into Isaiah with his new album out, and since his discog is so tight i figured starting from the beginning would fit, and man this is a fantastic introduction. chill vibes throughout and Isaiah's ability to flow over these beats is remarkable, a huge highlight for me are the hooks, r.i.p. Kevin miller and west savannah in particular have such ear worm chorus that even days after hearing the tracks i still mumble the lyrics under my breath from time to time.
But the standout ... read more
An extremely nostalgic and emotional track for me. It just encapsulates so much of that southern/Midwest early 2010s country sound. This is one of those tracks you play when you want to think about how far you've come in life, and how peak living can truly be.
absolute banger. i love when country artists actually have something to say in their songs instead of generic heartbreak ballads or songs about how much beer they drink. The production is insane as well, the effects on the main guitar puts me in a trance every time.
For sure Sweatshirts weakest project, but after coming off one of the best experimental rap albums ever made, can you really be surprised? If you dug the sound of that project, you'll get a kick out of these as well, but don't expect anything revolutionary.
el toro is beautiful though. mavi did amazing.
Earl's debut album is very accessible, and i mean that as a compliment. even if you never cared for his more experimental music later down in his career, there's enough "normal" rap here for any casual music fan to like, and if that doesn't convince you, big names like frank ocean, RZA, Mac Miller, and Tyler the creator will probably sway you towards giving this project a spin.
I remember when i was first getting into earl, this was my favorite project by him, and i ... read more
In just 45 minutes, Bob Dylan made me a radical revolutionist, with nothing but a guitar and some sweet pen game. What a superhero.
it only took his second album for bob to become GOAT status, so many classic folk songs on here, that first three track run... MAN.
It took so long for me to find Bob Dylan, but I'm glad i found his music nonetheless.
i remember my first year at summer camp, the second to last day, some of the staff got together and played this song as a farewell to all us campers. it was really bittersweet, and this song always gets me thinking about that day when it comes on
Most esteemed reader, steel thy nerves, for I must now recount my further encounters with the musical contraptions of the modern sonic provocateur **2slimeys**, having previously survived the tempestuous affair known as *ssoMe*. I have since subjected myself—purely in the name of scholarly rigor—to his album **High Anxiety**, and what revelations, horrors, and peculiar fascinations await therein!
