Dark Times is a despondent album. It's a far cry from his most sonically experimental, or the average amount of pomp and circumstance he brings to a song. My second ever full Mountain Goats album that I decided to listen to becuse I had an affection for Hostages and Training Montage. If you're looking for music to occupy your mind, this is it.
