Yet another Roots album where I can’t decide what my favorite song is, because they’re all (or almost all) just amazing.
Half the time I was listening to this album I forgot I put music on. Not a fan of the 80% quiet and 20% sudden loud noise thing.
Not great, not bad. Pretty run of the mill stomp and holler music that white teenage boys in button down linen shirts will listen to driving home from their first date with Emberleigh. I enjoyed some of the album while other parts felt drawn out and cliche.
Cannot stand Gnarly, but the other songs are alright. Gabriela stands out over the rest easily.
While not deviating from his usual formula, Don Trip delivers yet another addition to his massive discography.
Uninspired boring drivel, I did enjoy a couple songs but overall the album blended together into a heap of slop with no apparent meaning besides some theme about being rich and sleazy. I also hate her vocals on this project. Taylor is still channeling rich 18 year old energy, at 35 years old.
Bjork just moaned and spoke softly over drawn out yet impressively atmospheric and airy melodies for an hour. Could have just been instrumental.
This isn't really an album where you listen to a lot of the songs individually.
Pretty solid collaboration with some good rapping over nice beats.
Type of music you listen to while rolling up before running errands on a Saturday.
Lethal is simply a sign that Rico Nasty needs to switch genres-- maybe start a metal band. At what point is it not "genre-bending" and just another genre?
Is IWW the pinnacle of Mafioso rap?
Mixing conscious and gangster rap together, Nas synthesizes the eloquent gangbanger, one who can poetically wax and wane about the life of a handgun, arguing that firearm violence is almost a form of exploitation.
