Uh oh is my goat washed? The short answer is no but this is definitely peggy’s weakest album since Black Ben Carson. Ignoring the controversial album rollout and weaker singles I felt like I knew exactly what this album would be once I saw it had 25 songs. This album is very bloated and the sound palette he uses for every song gets stale quickly. The reason this wasn’t an issue for some of Peggy’s other long projects was that he was doing something different enough on every ... read more

Wowee Zowee is Pavement’s most bloated album with 18 tracks, and i think that’s what makes it work. I listening to this album while mowing my lawn, and at full volume, every song just kinda consistently blends together perfectly. The band’s work on here is honestly very impressive and every track sounds great. There are obviously some songs that i love more than others but the overall experience makes up for it. I felt like many tracks were very country inspired and the ones ... read more
Black Ben Carson is a very different peggy from the one making music currently. Firstly, the beats on this project are super consistent. There’s not a single song on here under a 7/10. The bars on this project are super provoking, edgy, and immature in the best possible way, but i feel like peggy does this style of writing much better on his later albums. The sound of each track is very similar but they all know what they want to be.
There are some moments where peggy strays from this ... read more
I put this album on a few nights ago before i went to bed because a friend of mine had recommended me it. I knew bon iver made more quiet and acoustic music so i thought it would be fitting to put on to calm me before i went to bed. After the first song i found myself fully immersed in the experience of this album. I ended up reading the lyrics for every song while listening. I didnt understand most of them, but the ones i did, really stood out and hit hard.

Fucking magic. Everything just feels so nostalgic. These arrangements are some of the most impressive, influential, and beautiful from the math rock / midwest emo scene. This album nails what its going for in such a heartfelt way. It serves as such a tight run of the vocalists teenage emotions in a simple way.
For their first work of music they're releasing without Issac, this seems like a very approachable and well-rounded return to form for BC NR. This album feels like you're watching a very above average and emotional musical theater production. As someone who grew up with musical theater very present in my life, this record doesn't resonate with me as much as I expected it to. And thats not to say this album doesn't have some banger tracks on it, because it very much does. Though I would have ... read more
100% worth the wait staying up till 12 on a thursday night. Just such a solid and fun overall theme with such a consistent and tight tracklist. It all feels the right amount of different enough from both of these artist's previous albums, making the combination even more rewarding. This jpeg high i've been on is gonna last a while.
Will definitely need a few more listens to fully click and resonate with me but this shit is amazing. Never before have I heard electronic music that sounded so natural, organic and somehow part of the Earth. I do feel I haven't been able to listen to and feel this album in its full perspective yet though due to finding this album in the middle of a gloomy Ohio November. Each songs production blows me away with how well is executes what it's trying to do. All so blissful and ethereal. I'm in ... read more
twenty one pilots were my favorite band for a solid 2 years of middle school and coming back these songs still resonate with me, just maybe haven't aged the best
