Don’t Be Dumb sounds like A$AP Rocky fully settled into his own lane, not rushing, not chasing hype, just moving how he wants. The album carries that familiar Rocky confidence, but it’s more refined and laid-back than explosive. Instead of trying to shock, it leans into atmosphere: moody beats, psychedelic textures, and that effortless Harlem swagger that he’s always been known for.
Production-wise, the album is clean but still grimy where it needs to be. The beats feel ... read more
This album sounds like somebody threw rage, EDM, and Chief Keef into a blender, dropped it down a flight of stairs, and somehow created something hard as fuck.
I genuinely do not know what the hell I just listened to, but I know I enjoyed it way more than I expected to. LET YA SPEAKERS BLEED is one of the weirdest projects I have heard in the underground and that is exactly what makes it interesting. Nothing about it feels normal. Nothing about it feels safe. It just does whatever the fuck it ... read more
I ACTUALLY CRIED LISTENING TO THIS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 IN A GOOD WAY THOUGH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Valley is one of the few albums that is genuinely devastating while also being heavy as absolute fuck. A lot of bands can make emotional music and a lot of bands can make brutal music, but Whitechapel somehow managed to make an album that excels at both. One minute you're headbanging so hard your neck hurts and the next minute you're sitting there processing what Phil Bozeman ... read more
This album has enough filler to stuff a fucking mattress.
WAY2GEEKED has some really hard moments on it, but as a full album it ends up feeling way more inconsistent than it should. There are definitely songs on here that still hit and remind you why KanKan built such a dedicated fanbase in the first place, but getting through the entire project can feel like a chore at times.
The biggest issue is the amount of filler. A handful of tracks go hard as shit and have that laid back, drugged-out ... read more
I'm so disappointed 😔
This album is kinda underwhelming overall. Not terrible, but definitely not what it could have been. There are a few standout tracks that are genuinely amazing, but the rest of the project feels like it gets dragged down by a lot of filler that really did not need to be there.
The Whole World Is Free is easily one of the best songs on the entire album. That track is insane and honestly feels like it should have set the tone for the whole project. Made Sum Plans ... read more
HACKLE FILL ME TF UP KING THIS IS CRAZYYYYYY 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Haunted Nation is hard as fuck from start to finish. Hackle sounds genuinely pissed off through this whole album and it makes the energy hit way harder. The aggression in his voice mixed with the production gives the entire project this super heavy atmosphere that makes it perfect gym music. This is one of those albums where almost every song makes you want to start moving instantly.
The beats are insane too. Dark ... read more
