One thing about this album that I found particularly interesting (and admirable) is how each track managed to simultaneously maintain a comfortable level of staticity and progression. I find Zach Bryan to be one of the most authentic, real, and genuinely enjoyable artists in modern country music, and that holds true for this album. He sticks to his typical sound and reflective lyrical themes, which works well, but the bloat makes it a difficult listen to sit through (especially the last third). There were a couple of times where I swore I'd heard the same exact song on a previous album, and quite a few songs that just came and went without adding much substance.
