I have to admit, first listen and I didn’t really get it; but this album has gotten better and better for me with each listen. This is a really solid album. Ellie Goulding described it as her “least personal” album and honestly, it works in her favour. This album is pure carefree dance pop at its finest and proves you don’t have to reinvent the wheel or be the most creative artist to make good music.
My only flaw is that the songs sound a bit too one-note so you can start to lose interest as the album nears to the end.
