Just a quick clarification on the date: the correct release year for the album is 2007 (original release), while dates like 2010 likely come from a CD/vinyl remaster. You may also see 2014 on streaming platforms, which corresponds to its later online release, hence the differences between sources.
Beautiful and deeply introspective, one of her finest projects. She is one of the most innovative artists on the hip-hop scene today. The album is infused with soul and jazz influences, especially on the single Lotus, featuring drummer Yussef Dayes who delivers an outstanding performance. The formula of this album works brilliantly, thank you for that!
