After hearing the brilliant Consequence from a friend, I was eager to check out the rest of this album and while none of the other songs hit as hard, it didn't disappoint either.
Although there are some great highlights, they do not save this album from being very underwhelming, especially for Death Grips.
I have a good few issues with many of the songs here so I won't go through them all but here are some of my biggest gripes. The last track is so unnecessarily long in my opinion and turns one of the better sounding songs of the album into one that is a such a slog to listen to. Also there are many annoying sections of songs such as the weird headache-inducing ... read more
I usually am a fan of JPEGMAFIA but this is just a really boring listen with some pretty terrible sounding vocals and extra sounds I guess you could say. Only saving grace is quite a pretty and serene but also eerie instrumental.
Great album, trying times is the biggest highlight for me, maybe my new favourite song of his. I will say though the album does fall off in quality a bit through the second half after a strong start.

It also features much more relaxed production on other songs which can sometimes feel a bit out of place or dragging on too long, which I found with Exchange which has the addition of an instrumental only version to the ... read more
A really great return to form for Gorillaz after the disappointing Cracker Island that features their signature mashing of many, many styles and genres into an emotional and unique experience. Lots of great features, with a noticeably high amount especially being from deceased artists, also many of whom have collaborated from Gorillaz in the past. This in effect gives it this sort of transcendental feeling, which enhances it's common theme of death across the album and they are feel ... read more
Best banger off the album in my opinion. I also think this single edit is a bit better than the album version since I am not convinced the long spoken word section adds too much.
A truly amazing and moving album. Lyrics and performances from Will are probably the highlight, especially on songs like Beach Life-In-Death and Sober to Death. As good as I was hoping it would be.
Absolutely amazing in all ways. Love the way it evolves, makes it feel like a full experience in itself and outside the context of the album.
