Quadeca - I Didn't Mean to Haunt You

I am very surprised that just an youtuber, before known for dissing KSI, and now he got a beautiful melancholic classic album by his side. If you didn't know, in this record, he is a ghost that is stuck between living and afterlife, so he tells his loved ones to not mourn him. What makes it magnificent is the themes of depression and suicide mixed with haunting piano and distorted vocals and drums. The features are very interesting though, them being Danny Brown, a great rapper that in his best ... read more

JID - The Forever Story

For me, The Forever Story is one of the best hip hop albums of the 2020s decade. The album is full of bop songs but also calm/sad songs, yet every song has a meaning: Raydar is about war, Sistanem is about his sister that left the family for a break, Crack Sandwich is about fights, especially the last verse about a fight that Destin fought with his siblings outside which was "so beautiful" as fighting was a family thing. Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
NR

I like when the artist makes a new journey for every album, like how Kendrick does. Maybe not that different, because he still brings up the Compton related themes, but I'll take it as a reference. veery quite diverse music, in detail "explains how to become a famous rapper", and the obstacles of it, not like other rappers and that's it, he talks about politics, law, rivalry, betrayal and I love how throughout this, he reads a poem to 2Pac. Majority of the world can agree is the ... read more
