A searing indictment of America.
By far the most focused project politically he has ever released.
A new rock sound that is perfect for the content of the album.
FAV TRACKS: Blackberry Marmalade, The Running Man, The Big Bad Wolf, 7 In the Morning
Early 2000s angst.
I think these guys were so popular because they had a way of making you truly feel the pain in their music. Feels very authentic.
Rap rock mix is a little dated, but in a charming way.
FAV TRACKS: Don't Stay, Somewhere I Belong, Faint, Numb
An ode to human suffering.
Sounds a bit like leftovers from LINE.
Still some good tracks, but not enough to set it apart from their last record.
FAV TRACKS: Slip the Noose, Doom in Bloom, Dream Debris, Hum of Hurt
A simply delightful throwback to the 60s.
An awesome mix of Beach Boys and the Beatles.
With a modern “age of surveillance” sheen hanging over it.
FAV TRACKS: 2 or 3, Look For Your Mind, Nothin But You, I Hurt You
Simply some music to tide us over till no album.
A mixed bag, but experimentation is always welcome.
After the straight rock n roll of LZ4, we got Houses of the Holy. This ain’t a bad record, and it has one of their best all time songs ever, “No Quarter.” The middle section drags a bit with some songs that kind of feel like throwaways, like Dancing Days and The Crunge. Overall some mystical Zeppelin magic, but not their strongest album.
FAV TRAX: The Rain Song, Over the Hills and Far Away, No Quarter
Not a miss, but more of a mixed bag. Love the continuation of metal from his last album, but the mixture of that and some new EDM stuff is hit and miss. It’s like he’s trying to make the loudest most bombastic beat possible; there’s not as much nuance and wtf energy like some of his best beats have. Rapping is not his best either, he uses a very similar flow on every song. Some highlights for sure, but not his best work.
FAV TRACKS: Burning Hammer, Money, Yen
American Football keeps finding ways to make their progressive emo music interesting. Brenden Yates and Wisp were a nice touch as far as collabs go. I love the little nods to jazz. Good stuff!
FAV TRACKS: Man Overboard, No Feeling, Bad Moons, Patron Saint of Pale
After taking a short hiatus after the commercial failure of Pinkerton, Weezer came back and decided to make more radio friendly stuff. The lyrics are less personal and the music is more polished. It’s not a bad album necessarily, just disappointing, because these guys really had a lot of potential. They really go down a direction of meme/so bad it’s good after this, and don’t really come back the angst of their first two albums. A shame.

17 years is a very long time to wait for an album. After that much time, it makes you wonder does a metalcore band have in it them come out with another album that matches the ferocity and rage of the albums that made them famous in the first place? I mean at this point these guys are nearly 50; do they still got it?
After listening to Peace in Place, I can honestly say that they do. After sounding stale to me on the last two albums, they sound revitalized here. They start of with 3 of the ... read more
Me when I enter Planet Frog.
A couple of really slick songs. Action Bronson continues to ooze tons of charisma that make him a really entertaining rapper.
Sports and food references out of control.
Just a really solid rap album in 2026. Hard to dislike.
FAV TRACKS: TRICERATOPS, PEPPERS, OLYMPIC VINCE CARTER
Shoutout YouTube for the low quality rip!
Created a whole new sound pretty much on its own.
Loud as shit but also soft and beautiful at points.
Ethereal beauty. Such a vibe.
FAV TRACKS: only shallow, when you sleep, sometimes, soon
Kind of a mixed bag but has some iconic bangers for sure. At its best, it is so wonderfully 2001! Takes me back to that time even tho I was too young to remember. Need to review more soundtracks!!
FAV TRACKS: Stay Home, All Star, I’m a Believer, Like Wow, Bad Reputation, Hallelujah
Part Two of Aubrey Drake Graham's comeback. Features are bland and forgettable. I like some club stuff, but most of this was just really unsexy and lame. Some songs like Cheetah Print are in so-bad-it's good territory, so I did get some entertainment out of that. Princess was a really bizarre detour from Drake that goes into rock territory that could have been something, if there was more to it. Anyway, overall just not great, but there were a few mildly entertaining moments.
STP keeps the grunge rocking here, but they really blow it up to arena rock status. This is grunge at some of its most grandiose. Big heavy riffs but also some psychedelic flourishes. A snapshot of one the last moments before the genre started to fade away.
FAV TRACKS: Meatplow, Interstate Love Song, Big Empty, Army Ants
Weaker and more forgettable than every album of theirs that came before. Feels more stagnant than YCBY and I'm not sure why.
Just didn't do a lot for me. While it is a slight improvement on Versions, it still feels like they are going through the motions, and I miss the pure angst and uniqueness of their earlier stuff. Another forgettable one.
