The classical inspiration on this album is incredible and makes it feel like one of the most unique albums of the 60s and adds an extra layer of emotion in an era where psychedelic was popular which is cool weird sounds but they lack more of the darker emotions. The first 2 and last song was incredible. What a welcome surprise.
I mean it sounds objectively good (as I constantly advocate that there's only subjectivity in music) but it just irritates me for some reason
Yeah I can see why I Just Might was the only single, it clears everything else by a mile
The God of Lying being the lowest rated and yet one of the best ones is criminal but this is incredible, What an experience that feels so uniquely fresh, funky and exactly like Gorillaz (with influences from Bowie not exactly hidden) and a new direction to go.
It's a bad sign when you struggle to finish a 27 minute album. Heroes and Villains was incredible and is the only reason it's as high as a 30
Astronomy Domine and Interstellat Overdrive promise great things to come but the rest of the album isn't really for me.
Extra 10 for the pun Take the Coltrane
Nice soundtrack to listen to. It's an amazing film and the soundtrack fits well, nothing stands out but that's not really the purpose of a soundtrack
Just gets better every time I listen to it.

Jazz is just so cool sometimes.
Coming back to this after 10 minutes again because this has some of the greatest solos of all time (especially part 3), genuinely I hate the word genius but if there was one, John Coltrane is it.
Incredible album that would be 100 if it was slightly more harmonically interesting. Otherwise the soundworld is so unique and immersive and not what I expected considering what I've heard of Brat I haven't liked. May go up to 100, only time will tell.
