Gets pretty obnoxious at times and is one of those albums that only sound good in headphones. Other than that, a good listen 😌
I have to admit, I’m a bit disappointed. While there’s no denying it’s a good album, it doesn’t quite live up to the expectations set by its standout singles. Those tracks—especially "Starburster" and "Favourite"—had me thinking this could be an all-timer. Unfortunately, the rest of the album doesn’t quite reach the same heights. It’s still solid, but outside of those four singles, it’s just okay.
While Vultures 1 did have a couple OK moments, part 2 fails in every musical aspect and beyond
As per usual, Kaytranada offers nothing but vibes and excellent production value, but his features unfortunately doesn’t match his level.
They could’ve cut 10 songs from this album and I would’ve had the same experience
"For My Mama…" is a lyrical expedition that explores identity formation and resilience, unpacking the African-American experience with one hand and holding up a mirror to society with the other. It's a lyrical dance that invites the listener to reflect on togetherness, all served with a smile and irresistible jazz beats.
I genuinely really enjoy the instrumentals here, but Jeff's lyrics are not good. And neither is his voice nor the constant double layering of vocals. Conclusion: I've heard better Jeffs
I like this album, but can't tell most of the songs apart from each other. But man i would love this at the club. Like imagine floor when Erotic Electronic comes on HUGE banger. But except for Out Of Time I will probably never listen to any of these songs again even though I had fun
Abstract, experimental but still highly accessible. Incredible record
I could tell from the singles that this album would be way under Freddie's usual standards, and it really is
Beautiful from start to finish, incredible vocals and great production. One of the 2022s highlights so far
Without a doubt Kendrick's weakest project, but Mr Morale is still very respectable. Being even more lyrics-driven than his other albums, it is sure to cause some mixed reviews. Kendrick himself even acknowledges this on "Crown". It's clear that Kendrick wanted to test his boundaries here, which led to a few songs being a bit under his usual standards. "Rich Spirit", "Purple Hearts" and "Silent Hill" were my least favourites. While still being good songs, ... read more
