omg
this shit probably aoty its just so catchy and weird i cant believe how good that album is.
i cant believe how good this year is for music.
i really enjoy myself some noisy art pop, and this scratches that itch perfectly. It's very maximalist and noisy, like clarence clarity's work in a way, but the singing is also very pretty and isn't overshadowed by the production at all. no misses. best pop album ive heard honestly.
man that's so disappointing.
as someone who enjoys drakes style in general and liked most of his output during the beef (everything but the heart part 6) i really thought i would get something out of this mixtape.
It's Up is horrid, the beat is uninteresting and the verses feel off. idk there's something about the mix of the voices only 21 savage puts out a half decent performance. the rest is even worst. Housekeeping Knows is some of the worst shit he's ever put out and ... read more
The collective is the last album by sonic youth's former bassist, kim gordon, and despite its incredibly shitty cover, i think its definitly worth a listen.
This album is constituted of trap beats with kim gordon talking over them (not really rapping). Those beats sound pretty fucked up, in a way that kind of reminds me of pink siifu but with more industrial influence. The production is definitly the strength of this album, as kim gordon's performance is fun, but not that ... read more
ooooh scawy
Edit : ok so actual review of the album because i dont give tens to everything.
look i dont know what magic they used to make those beats and i have no idea why those random ass noises sound so good to my ears. Because not much in there is actually melodic in any way, but it somehow feels very earwormy to me ???
even better, the fact those beats are so minimalistic just highlights the performances even more, which are definitly the highlights. the rapping is aggressive and ... read more
thank you thomas yorkshire and the radio heads for this masterpiece of an album
Couldnt finish it honestly imma try again later i stopped after bomb.
Look the production on this is actually pretty ok. But the entire thing feels like a bunch of drunkies gathered in a garage for a day to rap, scream and try to sing on this production. Especially on ye's part it felt very low effort and didn't respect my time. Some features were ok and Fried was kinda funny but apart from that it was very mid
Edit : wtf is this mumbling shit hell naw he's not putting any effort
I am the target audience of this
Great art direction change peggy does them metal guitars like no one else.
Fav is on or off the drugs.
I aint getting bitches any time soon
Edit : ok this is not as good as lp! imo still insanely good wtf
On first listen i found it amazing.
Very very fun. HOODLUMZ goes hard af
Of all rappers alive i feel like ab-soul has the most wasted potential. The first half felt like i was finally getting the album i was waiting for him to drop but the second half is near unlistenable, with positive vibes only being the worst song i've heard from him yet. This guy is great but he has yet to drop a good album
really low lows and really really REALLY high highs. cant be objective tho this album is part of my childhood
.
There's too much filler in this album imo it should have been like 30 minutes long and have less feature cause the highs in this album are really good, the two first songs and bandit especially. The features in this are mostly mid and attitude is especially bad. Even the Travis features are far from the best songs. Still excited to see what this guy does next im convinced he has a real good album in him. Additional points cause the album cover is sick af.
