Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning

The lyrics are incredible. There isn't a single song on this album that I didn't enjoy listening to.

This is something that I've been revisiting a lot recently because a few tracks are on my regular playlist. A lot of the songs are catchy yet extremely strange, but that is exactly what I expect to get when I listen to Ween. It's not a musical masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination but it's fun music to listen to and this is not far behind The Mollusk as my favorite Ween album. I highly recommend at least giving this album a try if you've never heard it before, you may just end up loving ... read more

Cream - Disraeli Gears

Straightforward '60s psychedelic rock mixed with some blues influence. You get exactly what you expect. There are a lot of songs of this album that are in my everyday playlist but there are a few that I don't care for at all. Overall, it's a memorable album with some extremely good high points. If anybody asked me what psychedelic rock sounds like, this is one of the albums that I'd recommend them first.
Stand out songs: Strange Brew, Sunshine of Your Love, Tales of Brave Ulysses, SWLABR

The Beatles - Revolver

This is my favorite Beatles album. I love the psychedelic rock feel to it and it influenced that genre in so many ways. Songs that stand out to me: Taxman, I'm Only Sleeping, She Said She Said, Yellow Submarine, and Tomorrow Never Knows (BEST SONG!) John Lennon was just amazing on this record.

The Beatles - Rubber Soul
96

This album is loaded with great songs like most Beatles albums are. Norwegian Wood, Drive My Car, and In My Life, Girl, and Think For Yourself are a few tracks that really stood out to me. There are a few skippable tracks in my eyes but the greatness overwhelmingly outweighs the "meh".

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II
100

Whole Lotta Love, The Lemon Song, Heartbreaker, Ramble On, Moby Dick, Bring It On Home....
Way too many bangers on here to not make this my first ever perfect rating on here. In my eyes, this is up there with Jimi Hendrix's "Are You Experienced" as one of the greatest albums ever.

Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
94

I was going to rate this an 85 until I heard Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2 to close out the album. Wow. The dark lyrical content in this album mixed with the folk sounding acoustic guitar is just... haunting. That's the word I would give if I only had one word to review this. Haunting.

The Antlers - Hospice
84

This album starts off great with Kettering and ends even better with Epilogue. Everything else in between is pretty good as well, apart from a few tracks that I wouldn't consider skippable but I won't be listening to them again. The concept of the album is heavy, but the music conveys it in a beautiful way. If this album doesn't make you tear up you must not have emotions hahaha. All jokes aside, great album

Panic! at the Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out
57

Vocals aren't good in most of the songs and there aren't any original concepts on this album. It's mediocre even for a pop punk influenced record, which is bad.

Radiohead - Kid A
95

Beautiful mix of rock and electronic music. Listening to this album was an incredible experience, even if a couple of the tracks didn't really interest me as much... they were still beautiful!

The Strokes - The New Abnormal
85

One of the best albums that I heard in all of 2020! Love all the different styles of music that helped influence this album, and I especially enjoyed the dreamy sounding "Ode to the Mets" to close off the album. Also, the vocals sound GREAT!
