The lyrics are incredible. There isn't a single song on this album that I didn't enjoy listening to.
This is something that I've been revisiting a lot recently because a few tracks are on my regular playlist. A lot of the songs are catchy yet extremely strange, but that is exactly what I expect to get when I listen to Ween. It's not a musical masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination but it's fun music to listen to and this is not far behind The Mollusk as my favorite Ween album. Straightforward '60s psychedelic rock mixed with some blues influence. You get exactly what you expect. There are a lot of songs of this album that are in my everyday playlist but there are a few that I don't care for at all. Overall, it's a memorable album with some extremely good high points. If anybody asked me what psychedelic rock sounds like, this is one of the albums that I'd recommend them first.
Stand out songs: Strange Brew, Sunshine of Your Love, Tales of Brave Ulysses, SWLABR
This is my favorite Beatles album. I love the psychedelic rock feel to it and it influenced that genre in so many ways. Songs that stand out to me: Taxman, I'm Only Sleeping, She Said She Said, Yellow Submarine, and Tomorrow Never Knows (BEST SONG!) John Lennon was just amazing on this record.
