This EP is actually a live recording of a twenty minutes song recorded at the Norbert Festival in Sweden. The performance is made up of four (more or less) distinct sections. It starts with what sounds like glitchy, reverberating bells or chimes repeating on and on as they get drowned in this fuzzy and warm static white noise, which is a sound that stays during the entirety of the song.

Rolf Julius is a German artist well known and respected for his audiovisual installations and minimalist musical composition. Music for a Distance is a project he embarked on for six years, until his life was unfortunately cut short in 2011. His music label released it a few months after his death.
