gosh where do i start.
every song is a journey, i don't know if i've found an album that moves so much, even within other concept albums
all the beautiful material on here paired with all the ugly, noisy material really takes you on a journey
from "i want wind to blow", a beautiful indie folk song, to "my warm blood", a tragic, empty, ambient track
it ends in silence, you're left empty
no resolve, no emotion

there's really not much to say that hasn't been said. this album is a true masterpiece.
its kinda like whiplash going from one of the heaviest songs of the 60's with some of fripp's most legendary guitar playing into a really beautiful song with equally impressive flute and some incredibly atmospheric guitar playing
but then EPITAPH!!
mcdonald's incredible mellotron on this track is EASILY the highlight, but lake's vocals are just incredible. easily the best track ... read more

i can't believe i finished this album
nothing here is really awful, but it kinda starts to sound same-y once you get through the first 50 songs
everything after that blends together, and any would-be stand out tracks just get lost with the rest
it's cool to like do homework too, but in terms of a full official album it's not that great
at one point, i would have considered this album to be a perfect 100. i definitely don't think that today, but my opinion has only mellowed, not soured
i think it may be my most listened to album of all time, it was the first album that clicked for me. i only really started listening to other music in search of something that'd give the same experience as this album
