Yenbett by Noura Mint Seymali is a Mauritanian album that meshes traditional Mauritanian Folk elements with modern day Psychedelic Rock, and does it extremely well. Somehow this album manages to mix stuff like traditional middle-eastern scales and notation methods with a poppier, almost proggier sound, and it works in nearly every track. Funtown USA, and Manifest! Manifest! are genuine bangers, the use of samples with this super in your face mixing style makes everything feel so energetic, with the melodies also being super catchy! this album is the sonic representation of childhood nostalgia and I love it for that. the first 3 tracks feel like the new tsubi club album but much more laid back, especially manifest
