Will this be album of the summer?...
DOPAMINE wasn't as bad of a listen as I thought, but it still was pretty repetitive. Although the man is able to cook up some fire be-
Wait, apparently, he doesn't produce his own music often, so I can't really give him props for that either.
Still, this project had some good production, it did kind of cross into rage territory at times, and that's when Tecca started to sound like a more tolerable Playboi Carti. His vocals are ... read more
I really don't see what's so special about the last 3:30 that make it the "best thing he's ever made", it's structured well, but the first 4:30 carries so much more vocal passion and emotion, and the keys and strings are much more impactful than the drums.
There are moments off of IDMTHY that were more interesting, too.

The Contract and FORGONE dropping on the same day are a match made in heaven.
Honestly, I think this is one of Eminem's most overhated albums. I mean, sure, some of the album's content is meant to be taken as shock value and fuel the 'slim-shady is evil' propaganda, but I think there's an underlying charm to be found across the lifespan of this record.
Of course, I am a huge fan of villains and antagonists in fiction. I believe they are the required essential for bringing your media from being good all the way to becoming an absolute ... read more
This absolutely blew me out of the water, I LOVE this new approach with more overproduced sound because I REALLY LIKE NOISE.
I honestly really want them to use this style for the whole album, it would make a unique turn in their discography. All they need to do is bring back some of the longer verses from Trench on songs like Morph and Chlorine and this will probably be a top 2 album from them.
The autotune is amazing, and I especially loved the parts where Tyler says "Promises and ... read more
Last day of school review!!!
I don't know what to feel after listening to this, but it's definitely something great.
As a project that takes its name and theme seriously, Fall Into The Void is a unique ambient project that makes you feel like you're floating in space, lost in the passage of sound and the experience that surrounds the listener. It makes good use of it's sequencing, and provided a listening experience that managed to be both relaxing and ambitious all at ... read more
Judging this as a comedy rap album, it has a lot of funny and corny lines, but outside of the beats, it's all really similar. Besides for function, that actually got a laugh out of me 😭🔥
This is genuinely supreme level jazz production, I was expecting this album to be good but not THIS INSANELY AMAZING.
Earl's highest rated album, huh? That's a hard disagree from me. Although Earl packs a lot of content into this 23-minute album, it's still not enough to warrant this being a highly replayable project at all, at least not warranting this high of a score. The concepts in these songs are unfocused and repetitive at times. Although it seems like 78 is a really positive score, which it is, this album is missing a lot of content that others have to make them as fabulous. Earl kinda ... read more
I mean, it's an 8 minute song with great progression, kinda hard not to give this a high score. I'm looking forward to this album, there are so many great ones coming out this year with amazing lead singles. Her vocals wither, sounding fragmented as she continues to spiel her heart out. You can sense the passion in this piece, especially in the second half. The vocal layering helps bring out a sense of dread in the calm presence of her voice. There's really no flaws in this song, ... read more
This album is a great finale to the ending of Swans' big-sound era, but it leaves some things missing that were present on previous records. The concept of the pain in Birthing is well explored and makes for an intriguing concept. But, of course, there are limitations to the level that this concept could be explored. Swans doesn't make this record s cohesive as it could have been, and instead of being a gradual process into one's newfound experience of birthing, it sounds more ... read more
Well, to be honest here, I don't end up revisiting all of the songs on this album that often. Don't get me wrong, this is a phenomenal record, but songs like GOD., LOYALTY., and LOVE. don't feel that unique or special enough compares to the other songs on this record. In a storytelling purpose, sure, they are somewhat important, but as a song LOYALTY and LOVE rely on features, and GOD is really just a slightly flawed song. This Kendrick phase is much more melodic and is starting ... read more
as a person who thinks STH, Cherry Bomb, and others are 10/10's, I think I can say that I love chipmunk soul.
This and the Quadeca singles are easily the 3 best singles of 2025, the dark-bold production and defeated but gorgeous vocals make her slightly unique from other vocalists who are competing in the same scene as her. Probably the best chorus to ANY song I've heard all year, and it's easily addicting.
Above a 100.
Maturing is realizing that some albums have a high rating for a reason. Well, at least it's a wise choice. When I first saw this album and its placement on the charts, I was just wondering how this could possibly be better than Trench. Listening to this a single time made it very clear why this is as praised as it is. There are genuinely no blatant flaws in this album, and anything I don't prefer is just stylistic choice, which has a chance to pop up in the album before this ... read more
After listening to this album a couple of times, I think I can finally come to a conclusion on its content. This is a really amazing feat for Billy woods overall. An 18-track album that doesn't feel like there is any filler and uses its features wisely, its samples creatively, and subject matter profusely while not making it too repetitive. Some would classify this as a horror-themed and scary album, and while I did not find the beats nor the lyrics scary enough to make me hide under my ... read more
