I wish the exciting performances and catchy songwriting weren't buried in this tinny metallic hellscape that is the production. It's hard to evaluate this when even songs that have no business being so, like It Follows, are an assault on my ears, even at lower volumes. Somehow this is less of an issue on the heavier songs, and amplified on ones that lean on hard rock.
