Dear god the final single before Zeros was nuts. This song is just so fucking good. The funky hooks and thought provoking lyrics are so good. That FINAL bit where he's screaming the hook with these wobbly distorted effects to his voice just close the song out with such a bang
god DAMN this song hits so hard. From the get go it clicked with me but it clicked even MORE once I saw the live performance he uploaded to YouTube. Such a powerful piano ballad and my favorite single/song of 2020
Whenever the weakest single for your album is only NEAR perfect??? You better believe!!!! that the album is gonna be heat, and heat it was
This single was more akin to Declan's earlier work but with a twist being the songwriting. Such an amazing song with a wonderful poppy hook
I was NOT ready for this when it dropped over a year ago. At first I didn't really understand the direction Declan was headed in but MAN once this clicked goddamn did it click. This is such a chaotic song. Screeching synths and compressed to hell drums with a ROARING CHORUS!!!! FUCK dude
honestly it's not too bad! it's not as good as Keep Your Distance but if this is the worst he has to offer then I think we can expect a very solid Ameer Vann project in the near future
intense themes of self hatred and anger accompanied by a powerful vocal performance and chaotic beats. absolute highlight
misanthrope but it feels like i spent more time actually acquiring my own demos again than i did making the album
Listening to this album felt like going on an epic journey through a post apocalyptic earth. The production on this album is huge, windy and beautiful. This whole album is head to toe beautiful to listen to. It feels like floating through the sky in another dimension where the sky is better represented with the color scheme in the album cover. Please listen to this album if you like shoegaze or good music in general. Very good Adalyn approves
i got so high and listened to this at like 6 am and i loved every bit of it. the pop melodies are wonderful and the hooks are so catchy and memorable. the songwriting is so personal and heartfelt but also blunt and hurting. the vocals are rough, raw and unique. The outro is in my opinion an encapsulation of everything HTBD does right. Wonderful songwriting/structure, great pop melodies and nice emotionally raw vocals. A great album to listen to while you're plummeting from space.
