Give me a second, I need to get my story straight π£οΈ
A great first four tracks, but.. it’s not really that fun after that.
I didn’t bother to review ‘Chromatica’ because all I had to say about it was “Even the most athletic get exhausted after dancing for too long.”.
But! The remix album brings legends like.. wait a minute.. Lil Texas and Elton John on the same track? Holy shit??? Anyways, the near-blank template of the original gives freedom to bend it into whatever you want!! (Forró filled ‘Fun Tonight’ and the brat foreshadowing ‘911’!) That’s ... read more
Another case of “all of the songs sound nearly identical” but with a few-ish exceptions. Remember when 34+35, positions, AND pov were the only songs that played on the radio? God, I don’t miss quarantine at all.
Wait a minute, this is an EP???
Gaga should make more of these. Even though Teeth is a *bit* out of place in terms of production and vibe in general, it’s still fantastic to listen to!!
Beyoncé brings a dance party that celebrates black culture while being THAT GIRL! π
Just found out that Black Celebration was released on Saint Patrick’s Day. Today and also coincidentally the 40th anniversary!
Again, I return to my self-inflicted addiction to darkwave. There’s some that don’t really “hit”, but they’re still pretty good.
“I didn’t realize how many singles were off this album.” - Dad
And I didn’t realize the cover’s supposed to be a man like how the music is supposed to be good. Whoops.
Happy late 26, I guess??
Happy 15!!
Though associated with the gays and the theater kids, I found it surprising that Mother Mother isn’t talked about as much. I’ve heard some songs from different albums, but this feels the most like them.
Happy Friday the 13th! (again)
The flow could’ve been better on both halves, but the absurdity is kinda funny so it gets a pass.
Sounds like an unbaked version of itself.
Happy Mario Day, 2026!
Miku Day 2026 (3/3)
It’d be a better album without (most of) the remixes and covers. I don’t know which ones to exclude since they all slap.
Miku Day 2026 (2/3)
Wowowowow beep boops (and maybe some metal elements) that scratch my brain. It’s a different kind of “dark” from Kikuo, but it works so well!
Miku Day 2026 (1/3)
Some aren’t really that full of substance, but the “trendy” sound and the tuning makes it sort of unique amongst Pinocchio’s other peers.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Huh. It’s almost as if the entire album is screaming “I’M PROUD TO BE MYSELF!” from the clouds. Duh! She constantly doubles down on self expression through trashy production and being under the influence of (the good kind of) 80s rock.
Such a shame that a pretty decent voice is used for generic pop. Though as much as I appreciate the message in So Am I, it gets a bit goofy when they start dancing.
Happy (late) 10!!
Tf you mean these are throwaway b-sides?
‘untitled unmastered’ in an interesting spot in K Dot’s discography- post-TPAB, pre-superstar, still underrated. Even in its demo-ish state, ‘uu’ still showcases the sheer talent that runs in his veins.
Happy 25!!
It’s unfair to call a band a “one hit wonder” if they have other okay songs that have done well.
