300th Review!!
The ambient version of The Downward Spiral.
I’ve seen and heard many describe the movie as claustrophobic, but I highly believe cleithrophobia (fear of being trapped or in an enclosed space where the exit is blocked or restricted REGARDLESS of size) is the right word — especially since there’s tracks titled Iron Casket, No One There, and Fate Welded Shut. But the more I think about it, both at the same time can also be correct. In short, great soundtrack that ... read more
Like all of those who followed the drop trend during the 2010s, it builds up to a nothing burger. Though if this is really about her struggle with lupus? Then she should’ve contributed more to the writing OR been the sole writer.
I dunno, I never liked it during the pandemic, and I never did since. I guess it’s because of the chipmunk-ified sample combined with the main vocals that really give off “i miss my cocoa butter kisses” in an unfunny way.
Thrash metal that really thrashes around with complex structures and reflective lyrics. Happy 40!!
((thanks @vitaj for the recommendation!))
Hearing this after some listening to some of The Disintegration Tapes, it really does sound like an unused track from it. Pretty solid drone/ambient track!
It’s giving Miranda Sings’ “Self Help” book.
Here’s some songs that are made by someone who’s actually been through sexual assault or hasn’t and is talking about it in a respectful and meaningful way:

Saw most of these on multiple “disturbing vocaloid songs” icebergs/videos. Does it live up to the title? Um.. yes-ish? Don’t get me wrong, the subject matter on all of these songs are disturbing (disordered eating, murder, suicide, the typical topics), but it’s kind of underwhelming overall; especially since it sounds compressed like a folding mattress.
Symptoms of femtanyl overdose include dancing, high energy, ruptured eardrums, and maybe a transgender joke.
A chaotic mess of a rollout is just as so as the album itself, but still better than Twisted Fantasy by a long shot.
The autotune would’ve been hilarious if it weren’t for the fact that this is Lhugueny’s usual shtick.
It’s an unexpected change from TPAB and GKMC. A story when listened to forwards and a second story when you listen to it in reverse order? Hell yeah, Kendrick. You’ve done it again.
Nowadays, Control sounds like the rest of 80s pop, but the lengthier tracks sound like ‘extended versions’ of a song that doesn’t exist. Not that it’s bad, it’s just a bit too lengthy.
The noise continuously makes me return to it. It’s so abrasive, and pixie. Shoutout to the album art for accurately describing what the album sounds like.
The fact that “Suffer” is after the ninth track makes me wonder if Puth was trying to tell us something. Let’s Marvin Gaye and get it on, I guess.
