Much more hit or miss than the previous outings. I’d do anything for Love is a return to form of the operatic ridiculousness of Bat 1, and Frying Pan, Rock and Roll Dreams and Objects in the Rear View Mirror could fit easily into Bat 1.
The rest though...ehhh. It kind of sucks.
This for sure goes hard but it’s hard not to be swept away in the Wagenerian ridiculousness of the whole thing.
Standouts: Two out of Three, Bat, For Crying Out Loud
A tremendous effort of a prog album. Very, very tight and resists the impulse that later prog bands had to spiral off into self indulgent wankery,
