This album was amazing knowing the context was to honor a lover who died of suicide. Despite sewerslvt's very controversial past she makes something amazing with this album. On tracks such as light at the end of the tunnel the drum and bass influence and what she does with it is one display greatly. This album doesn't seem to drag at all even through the longer songs(Especially goodbye). One final thing to note is goodbye is a celebration of sewer's career under this alias with the ... read more
I like a lot of experimental or off the wall music, but this was not good in my opinion. The instrumentation ada brings on this album is one of the only good parts because her vocal sound like if she stole the vocals of uboa and lingua ignota and put them over some over the top electronic beats. The intros to each at least give me a reference of where I am in the song because despite the fact this album is only 35 minutes it drags in a majority of the album. This was a fine album but just didn’t land for me. The instrumentation reminded me of porter Robinson’s nurture on tracks like fireside thaumaturgy and the vocals just reminded me of porter robinson on a track like viceheart. That isn’t bad(it’s kinda good) but it made me shy away from liking this album as a whole. Other than that this was fun I guess.
Favorites: orphan source, back to sleep, vice heart, fireside thaumaturgy, a fish named Justice, carbon head.
Another perfect album from 100 gecs. I wish they released this year or last year. By the way I will be listening to album by artists or groups apart of the lgbtq+ comumunity this month because of pride month.
Favorites:all of them.
This was a great album to start off pride month!!!!!!! The instrumentation made me feel melancholic and reminded me of all the bigotry that the us has and is spewed from certain people. Back to the album, as a whole the album really gave me an atmosphere of not knowing what comes next which is sick.
Favorites:philautia, sinner, flowerfields, storge, sheep theme, for m, the beauty of the present moment.
