Undeniably unique and bold, unfortunately lots of the tracks are quite hit or miss for me right now. Hopefully i enjoy this project more as a listrn more. The HAZARD DUTY PAY- GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY- WHAT KINDA RAPPIN' IS THIS?- THOT'S PRAYER run of tracks are undeniably brilliant, with REBOUND being great aswell.
π WHAT KINDA RAPPIN' IS THIS?
Really disappointing, especially since he found a great sound on parts of 'american dream'. I was hoping he'd further on that sound, but apparently not.
Also wheres the government mandated Travis Scort feature?
π ATLANTA TEARS
Danny brown club music absolute gas. The quad songs also are highlights he bring an amazing atmosphere to the tracks. The End is also absolutely a standout; an amazingly honest track.
πLift You Up
Hey.. this Hendrix guy is pretty good. Who knew?
This album has every sound you could want, from relaxed laid back songs to huge up in your face walls of guitar.
π Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
I cant say ive ever listened to Big L, but he's been on my list for a while.
I checked it out after seeing that my king Pale Jay was on one of the songs, and it's pretty good.
It doesn't hit the way it would for a true fan of his but I still enjoyed it nevertheless.
πForever
Good to get back into a genre I used to love and bump all the time. Shoutout australia too. Super cool album cover. I genuinely think some of these songs would destroy the world view of people 30 years ago.
π iPod Touch
Two legendary producers sliding like this on their own beats is such a flex.
πBusiness Merger
Most hyped ive been for an album in a long time.. definitely worth it. I NEED him to come to aus.
Daniel Caesar albums are always ones that become more special as they all connect with me at the point in life I'm at when i listen to it. For me, 'NEVER ENOUGH' will always be connected to the girl I was seeing when I listened to it, so this hopefully will similarly become a time capsule for my life right now. I might return to this review in the future.
