He simply doesn't miss. On "Heroes", David Bowie crafts another magnificent record that is the second in "The Berlin Trilogy". Before I started my dive into David Bowie, I had known the title track of this album from the tunnel sequence in "The Perks of Being A Wallflower", which I found to a great song at the time. ... read more

While I don't enjoy this album as much as "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars", this is once again a brilliant piece of work from David Bowie. For one thing, the instrumentals on the second half of this record are so well composed, especially with "Subterraneans" and its great strings section and ominous choir. Vocally, David Bowie ... read more

I've seen a lot of praise for this album, "Remain in Light", by Talking Heads and I just can't see it yet. Is this a bad album? No, I wouldn't say so. This is an album that just dragged in its ideas for me, some of the repetition on this thing slowed the momentum like the outro to "Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)" or the bridge in "Crosseyed and Painless". ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE: Trapped Under Ice
On their second studio album, "Ride the Lightning", Metallica delivered a decent metal record. The first four tracks of this album are fantastic with the title track being my favorite while containing my favorite riffs on this thing. "Fade to Black" was an unexpected ballad from my view and was quite effective in its lyrics and storytelling. I also really ... read more

Brockhampton delivers and adds another great album to their discography with "ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE". Everyone on this album gives it their all and has shown improvements from past works. This can be seen through Kevin's refined rapping, Jabari's angelic vocals, or Joba's heartfelt and powerful verses. The production on this thing is top tier and shouldn't at all go ignored especially with tracks ... read more

I am in absolute awe. With "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars", David Bowie crafts an excellent piece of glam rock. The sound of this album is just so grand and cinematic, unlike anything I've yet to hear in the rock genre. Bowie's vocals throughout this album are powerful and executed to perfection, as they compliment the brilliant songwriting as well. Listening to the first track "Five Years", it ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE: FEMALE SHARK
Trippie Redd goes full rock/punk on this new release, "Neon Shark". "Neon Shark" was an album I was anticipating for quite a while since it was hinted at and now that it's released, well I have some thoughts. To start off I think this album could have been better if it was focused on a certain subgenre of rock. I thought Trippie did really well on "GERONIMO" ... read more

FAVORITE TRACKS: Still Yours, 7:00
LEAST FAVORITE: Timeless Interlude Pt. II
With the "A N N I V E R S A R Y (Deluxe)", Bryson gives a decent helping of supplements to the original album. While I wouldn't call any of these tracks on the deluxe Bryson's best, they are pretty decent with the smooth "Still Yours" and the at times braggadocious "7:00". Both of these tracks I feel would've fit well into the original album and carry a same ... read more

Now that Spring Break is here and school has gotten off my back, it's time to catch up on some new releases. First up for me is "Scary Hours 2" from the one and only Drake. While nothing here necessarily blew me away, I must say this is probably the best Drake we've gotten in a hot minute. Lil Baby comes through with one of his best verses in my opinion, through "Wants and Needs". "What's Next" is ... read more

With this being my first listen to slowthai I must say I am thoroughly impressed by his new album "TYRON". The production on this thing is pretty great for starters especially on the first half of this album where slowthai's energy is consistently high. He also has a really good delivery as demonstrated through "MAZZA" and "DEAD" which both contain some banging production. The ... read more
I have been extremely hype to hear this track ever since Lil Gnar started teasing it on his Instagram and he did not disappoint at all. Lil Gnar and Trippie Redd deliver energetic performances with some great production that features these looming strings in the background that adds to the almost sinister feel to the delivery of Lil Gnar's chorus and verse. This is a really really great track and I can't wait for Lil Gnar's next project.
Lil Tjay and 6LACK deliver some okay performances in this new track "Calling My Phone". I enjoy some of Lil Tjay and 6LACK's songs quite a bit but I really felt the energy lacking here. I thought the verses and chorus were kind of stale and at times I feel like Lil Tjay sounded a little bit too much like Bryson Tiller. Overall though it's definitely not a bad track but just an okay one that I wouldn't mind hearing again.
Rebecca Black delivers a remix to the hit song "Friday" and I don't really know how to feel about it. There's some parts of this song that I actually really like for example the Dorian Electra feature and the beautiful but brief instrumental switch for Sean Foreman's verse. Other than that though I didn't like the production choices all that much and I wasn't a fan of Rebecca Black's performance. Although with this almost bubblegum bass sound that Rebecca Black is going for I'm quite ... read more
I really enjoy this new Young Thug single featuring T Shyne and Meek Mill. I absolutely love the production and I would say everybody does a great job with their verses, but I found the chorus to be lacking the energy executed in the verses. I also wish I felt Young Thug's presence on the track a little bit more but this is a really solid release, and has me pretty hype for "Slime Language 2".

Before listening to this EP, I was surprised to see people give a JPEGMAFIA project such mediocre reviews and scores, and well now I can see why. I love most of JPEGMAFIA's music and I think he has an extreme amount of potential to put out a masterpiece in the future, but I just wasn't feeling "EP2!". When JPEGMAFIA released "FIX URSELF!" I thoroughly enjoyed it with his soothing vocals and the nice brass ... read more

LEAST FAVORITE: Everything else
This new Hayley Williams album "FLOWERS FOR VASES / descansos" is okay in my opinion. Starting off this album has some pretty good lyrics and songwriting, and there's a few standout moments especially with the darkness of "My Limb" and the gorgeous piano on "KYRH". I just couldn't get into this album because I found it inconsistent and I felt like it lacked energy. Some of the songs ... read more

On "Purple Rain" Prince delivers a fantastic album that features a span of genres including funk, rock, rnb, pop and more for a beautiful collection of heartfelt and powerful bangers. Prince was an artist that I grew up with so I thought I'd give the full "Purple Rain" album a shot and I can't complain. LEAST FAVORITE: Moonchild
"In the Court of the Crimson King" is an astounding progressive rock album by King Crimson. It is wild to me that this album was released in 1969, because the instrumentation is so multi-layered and well executed. The vocal performances on this album when done are quite great as well especially on the grand track "Epitaph" and the masterpiece ... read more

Marvin Gaye delivers a smooth, but reflective listening experience on "What's Going On". This album easily has some of the smoothest instrumentals I have ever heard and has some shining moments like the glistening bells and funky bassline on "Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)". Marvin also has this extremely soothing and soulful voice that compliments his lyrics that everyone should hear with the current climate. I was ... read more
