Ghost - Infestissumam

This record is definitely Ghost's most divisive, yet overlooked, entry in their original trilogy of albums, but it's honestly one of my favourites from them. At the same time, it also has the most flaws, so let’s go over the album's pros and cons.

Pros:
-The overall sound here, 70s heavy metal with touches of hard rock, psych rock, and prog rock, is one of my absolute favourites from the band.
-Some of Ghost's best songs, such as Year Zero, Ghuleh/Zombie Queen, and ... read more

Ghost - If You Have Ghost

Ghost's first EP is definetly an overlooked one, but honestly, it's their best by a good margin. Ghost managed to cover a bunch of already great songs, and turn them into songs that would have fit perfectly on Infestissumam. But despite the high quality of the entire EP, the standout is definetly "I You Have Ghosts", which is a song that the band truly made their own, and is one of their best songs ever, cover or not.

Falling In Reverse - Popular Monster

Late edit (70-->50): Yeah, this one hasn't really held up that well for me now almost a year after release. While I do genuinely think the album has some really good and catchy singles, the non-singles on the other hand just aren't nearly as good, being mid at best or straight up bad at worst. While I still enjoy this album more than most, I just felt like I had to lower the score.

Pretty good album. It's definetly corny and overproduced, but most of the ... read more

Ghost - Opus Eponymous

Opus Eponymous is a very solid debut from one of my favorite bands. This is definetly their heaviest and darkest album to date, and I really enjoy the 70's heavy metal sound here. The doom metal influences also give this a unique sound compared to their other albums. My only major gripe is that the songs sound kind of samey. It's not like I can't tell the songs apart, but this is definetly not Ghost's most sonically diverse album.

Bring Me The Horizon - POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR

This is amazing stuff. The production, pacing, performances, everything is amazing. And Kingslayer is probably my favorite song ever.
