Wallsocket is like a film in a small town with vibe of something horrible in the air and at the same time, musicly speaking being cute as nothing happened. And that's awesome.
Earl raps in a terrifyingly depressing way on this one, what is interesting looking at his latest LP.
Best Tracks: Riot!, December 24, Eclipse, Peanut
Worst Tracks: None
I think that despite the noticeable distorted sound, the album itself defends with the concept and the dark, depressive atmosphere
Highs were very high and overall it's a great album, but ending could have been better... especially last song...
The Alchemist cooked up his best beats ever here and Freddie Gibbs goes hard as always
Rae and GK have here one of the best lyrics I've ever heard in hip-hop
Let God Sort Em Out is perfect comeback clipse record, which combines old clipse style and modern hip-hop sound and production with glorious guests appearrances.
It's hard to release a weak album when your producer is Alchemist
Young Irish band The Murder Capital shows here a lot of ambition and good writting combined with some intresting musical ideas and even if there is definetely room for improvement (e.g. potential of the tracks like "The Fall" or "Death of a Giant" weren't fully exploited), there are still bangers and quality here.
I was expecting more balanced project, but overall 10 day, which contains highs and lows was decent.
I think that Bas and the Hics did a good job of combining their R&B and hip-hop styles with good guest appearances from Ab-Soul, Domani, and Saba, but there weren't enough highs to give it a higher rating.
Solid album from Q which containes some of his best songs in his catalog and not suprised for receveing a grammy nomination for this one.
