Even with such a drastic change in the bands lineup, The Ocean haven't lost their core sound and identity. The two new vocalists are both fantastic, the guitars are chunky as fuck, the synths sound perfect, it's just great. I was very sad when a majority of the band left as the lineup they had between Phanerozoic I and Holocene is my favorite in the band's discography, but this new single quells all my doubts about the band's future. I'm so fucking pumped for the new ... read more
Didn't hate it, but it doesn't feel like it has the level of polish that you come to expect from her music.
The instrumental is really good but what the fuck is Julian doing bruh...
I REALLY liked the We Don't Give A Fuck, Come On Baby Scrape My Data, Psychowar, and Phantom Doom remixes. The rest of them are just okay.
One of the best live albums of all time. Every mashup makes total sense and is executed flawlessly. Wish I could've seen this live instead of being 8 years old at the time....
Favorite: Television Rules The Nation / Crescendolls
Highlights: Around the World / Harder Better Faster Stronger, One More Time / Aerodynamic, Prime Time of Your Life / Brainwasher / Rollin' and Scratchin' / Alive
Least Favorite: Face to Face / Short Circuit
Genuinely one of the biggest tragedies in music history. They had such potential to be one of the greatest indie duos of all time. Rest in peace Audun, Stephen, and their tour manager Trevor.
virtual self is such a good side project, i'm seriously hoping porter brings this alias back at some point and releases new music (i NEED an official god rays release) or tours again (i never got to see him live as virtual self)
Would it be a hot take if i said i think Black-Eyed Susan Climb is the weakest single released so far and Unoriginal is top 2 alongside Paint Me a Picture......
A hell of a lot noisier and harsher than MG Ultra was, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. Shit fucking bangs from front to end.

Revisiting my rating a year later and this album has only grown on me since. Can't wait for their new album coming out later this month!!!
Highlights: Nu Nu Meta Phenomena, Hot Lizard, Ass2Mars, Psychic Attack
Least Favorite: Cicadas
Genuinely one of the greatest pop songs of the 2020s. Great lyrics, powerful singing, and amazing production. Absolutely love this song.
While this album doesn't have as much of a personal impact on me as "The Way of All Flesh" does, there's no denying that this album is fucking fantastic.
I went in to this album knowing completely nothing about this band, and I came out with a potential AOTY contender.
This was one of the most beautiful listening experiences I've had in a long while. The song writing is damn near perfect, the instrumentation is lush and colorful, and the vocalist delivers such a powerful performance throughout the entire runtime of the album. There were several points where I nearly broke out in tears (genuinely) because of how moved I was by the music. To ... read more
What a fun electro house album! Very nostalgic for the early 2010's sound which is also when I first got into electronic music. It might even grow on me with more listens as well.
Favorite Track: Fuck My Computer
Least Favorite: All At Once
hey have you heard of this hot new band called president? they're so cool they're kinda like sleep token because they wear masks to hide their identity. they're also a metal band but they do this cool thing where they combine genres that don't normally go together and-
wait are you ignoring me? please hear me out. their lyrics are super deep and thought provoking. that one line where the masked singer says- oh did I mention they wear masks? yeah they wear masks so no one ... read more
Edit: (51 -> 25} Yeah this just got worse with time.
Original review: Far from the worst album I've ever heard, but it's also not that great either. There were a few songs that I somewhat enjoyed, mainly the first song and the last one, though I wouldn't say I'd ever return to them in the future. The pop sections just sound extremely generic and artificial, like they didn't really care that much when they were writing them. I don't doubt that all the members of ... read more
I was really hoping I'd like this album a lot more than I did. There's some great songs on here, but also some others that don't really do anything for me. I'll give it some more listens as time goes on and see if it grows on me more.
The palkia sample goes crazy hard tho.
Favorites: Psychoboost, TURN UP OR DIE, Dark night castle, JRJRJR
Least favorite: Professional Vengeance
Lemme start out by saying Ring Road is god awful. My overall score would be higher if it wasn't for that song.
Now that that's out of the way, the rest of this album is fucking incredible. Vespers, Cinderella, Poppy, Acid Rain, Departures, and Audience are all 10/10 songs.
