An EP full of familiarity, yet never feels typical. The former is where most of my praise for this stems from, as much of the lyrics are nothing except basic themes: love and jealousy. It’s always interesting the contrast between K-pop and recognisable Korean cinema, Kpop is distant from every persons feelings, and attempts to sell a cultural ideal that is unnecessary for the majority of the population, while also being near unattainable. Whereas the nations films feel opposite in tone, frequent twists speak to the ambiguity of modern life, and the characters know this.

I don’t think trap ever really hit a peak, it in the same way other genres/sub-genres did once they were in the mainstream. All of the artists seemed to fit a non-listeners expectation of the music, rather than go against it.

Ayesha Eroticas’ precum is a sparkling 20 minute wonder. As it came to its end, I went to a friend to talk about this. Everything made sense as he started talking, as he described sounds, but once he mentioned “production and lyrics” I knew we were having different conversations.

The sounds themselves are nothing brand new, yet no other modern pop album oozes this much personality on both production, and lyrics, while also never dropping its tone for a moment
