Throughout my various listens I tried to understand mainly why Tyler decided this was the look and vibe of "CHROMAKOPIA", and my personal interpretation is to show the difference between the artist Tyler, The Creator, and Tyler Okonma. On Chromakopia, Tyler, The Creator seems to want to dissect himself. The way he feels and has felt about various situations that have happened because of what he has done, how he's represented himself in the past and what he is doing in the ... read more
"untitled unmastered." is an album/mixtape/demo collection of songs made whilst kendrick lamar was working on his magnum opus "To Pimp a Butterfly". the talk of the town with this here project is that even to pimp a butterfly's cutting room floor was filled with little gems, possibly not making the cut due to their more mainstream appeal or being recorded after tpab's release. untitled unmastered tends to feel like delving deep into the making of to pimp a ... read more
thought this was more cinematic than most of the other peggy stuff I've heard, so I ended up really enjoying this! It’s different, its experimental, peggy continues to be a very consistent rapper/producer through and through man!
donald glover finally realizes ludwig göransson has made most of his good songs
Kid A. The one Radiohead album that just never seemed to click with me. It always felt like such a struggle to get through this entire album. Only now does it dawn on me that it's meant to be this way. This is a hard album for anyone to listen to. It drips and oozes melancholy as an ominious mist obscures the full picture it is trying to display. For most of Radiohead's discography, the "lore" has never really been a part I felt I needed to concentrate on, as I felt the music spoke ... read more
its very raunchy! honestly wish she went crazier and fully commit to this energy
Everyone on this app has the right to shoot me with a revolver if i ever even exhale otu of my nose listening to a lil dicky album
janelle monae is one of the most beautiful people of all time, so they have every right to make an album as sexy as this.
Its corny as all hell, and not really in an authentic doja way to be honest. A lot of this album feels weirdly fake and built around the idea that what doja is doing is groundbreaking, when in reality i feel like if she ACTUALLY didnt give a fuck what people thought about her, she would make an album that I would personally like to listen to more than this weird, not fully committed project.
Im very mixed on DAMN. After releasing THE album of all time, kendrick kind of takes a detour to make some more radio-friendly music. I'm not entirely against kendrick doing this, but I do think going this way led to a lot more songs being a lot more annoying and kind of bad at some points. However, its still kendrick! So its not like he isnt trying his best, moreso I dont think this is what compliments him and his ideas the best. Some really good stuff, just wanted them in a different way.
