Make Believe is in such a weird spot.

i like it almost as much as i do the war on errorism. it's their 2nd best at the very least. it keeps the strengths from the records prior to this (great energy, good riffs and sick basslines) but amps them up to the max with these songs feeling more "complete" in a way. they also have a song about having a vagina and lesbian bdsm which probably gave it 10 points for me
proof that in order to make good music, stripping yourself down to the bare essentials is never a bad idea. the riffs on this album are incredibly simple, but they work so well and service so much to the energy here, which while being a little more laidback than your usual punk album, it just gives it more personality and character in my ears.
INCREDIBLY ahead of it's time. so many punks wish they could make something like this. politicians in my eyes is easily one of my new favorite punk songs.
a 22 song behemoth that's comprised of some of the best r&b songs ive ever heard. the production on here is so damn good its like its having sex with my ears oh my GOD
