Good enough album. It has some absolute classics on it like title track and Yesterday which is a personal favorite song of mine. The other songs are pretty fun but I dont really see myself coming back to them
Wow, this album grew on me quite a bit. The production is killer, and most of the songs are very danceable. There are a few songs that I think are a bit mid, and I feel like The Fame section goes on for a bit too long. But overall, it's a great album
This album is an absolute disaster. First of all it is way too long and it drags to an insane degree. Most of the lyrics have aged laughably bad and it has easily the worst beats and production out of all the Tyler albums ive heard. The only reason I didn't rate this album lower is because I genuinely think She is an incredible song. It's one of my personal favorite Tyler songs and its really the only track on this album that has aged well. Other than that there are a few that I think ... read more
Really solid album to start off with. Compared to the other punk bands at the time, Green Day already had a more poppier and upbeat feeling to their sound. We have some old school bangers on here like I Was There and Going To Pasalacqua, along with some cuts that I feel don't get enough attention like the bands title track, Road To Acceptance and Disappearing Boy. The guitar riffs and basslines are very catchy and the writing is pretty decent too. While the production on this album ... read more
This is a massive improvement over the previous album. This is probably Radioheads heaviest album with a lot of loud but headbopping guitar riffs from Jonny Greenwood. The thing I love a bout thbis album is that every song sounds different from each other and they feel like their own thing. We have some absolute classics like the heavy hitting Just and My Iron Lung, while also giving us some slower songs like the beautiful High And Dry and Bullet Proof, and the eerie closer Street Spirit. ... read more
I feel like this album gets a bit too much hate. It's not a great album persay but it has its own charm to it. If you don't compare it to the rest of Radioheads discography its a pretty decent time. There are some classics on here like You, Anyone Can Play Guitar, and yeah I'll say it Creep. And I don't care what anyone says, Blow Out is one of the bands best closers, it has such a punch to it and the build up to the ending is incredible. Other than the stand outs, some of ... read more
I mean, what more is there to be said about this album that hasn't been said already. It's one of the most iconic pop punk albums of all time. Mike Dirnt brings out some fantasitc basslines on tracks like Longview, Sassafras Roots, and She, Tre Cool gives some of his best drum performances on Burnout and Chump, and Billie Joe's writing is at some of his best here, in the comedic but surprisingly dark Pulling Teeth and the "fuck you all" anthem for the youth F.O.D. This album is the definition of iconic, from the classic singles we all know and love like Buddy Holly, Say It Ain't So and The Sweater Song, to some of the more somber cuts like Only In Dreams and The World Has Turned And Left Me Here. To some of the fun cuts like The Beach Boys inspired Surf Wax America to the nerdy but wholesome In The Garage. What else is there to be said about this album that hasn't been said, this album deserves it's legacy as one of the legends of ... read more
