This is one of the most beautiful things ive heard in my entire life, im obsessed with it, probably VW's best album, I'm really impressed with the sound palette and some of the production choices, definitely 2024 AOTY for me.

While i find myself enjoying most of the album (mainly because of the beautiful strings) I dont think ill be coming back to this one, mostly because of the lack of substance and direction in most of the songs, it feels they're just going nowhere, and even if as a whole its a really pleasant listen, I find it pretty boring at the end of the day, However I loved a few songs and I (kinda) understand what Turner its tryng to achieve with this new sound, but sadly its not for me.
The album is great, front to back, not what i expected at first but it has really strong highlights, the kick off was insane and the whole vibe was pretty solid, the only complain i got is that it feels a lil stretched at some points
In all seriousness, Cracker Island is a project that should have been a mixtape more than an album, the lack of cohesion between tracks is pretty notable and that may ruin the experience a bit, however if you ignore that and just listen to the songs in a more individual way you may find yourself having a pretty enjoyable and solid listen, the production is gorgeous, clean af, and soft to the ears, the instrumentation is pretty clever and the vocals from Damon deliver as always, Some people may ... read more
