You know those’d underapreciated masterpieces you wonder why people are not listening to? Yeah this is that album for me.
Honestly not really bothered to write some long ass essay so I’ll keep it pretty short. La Reezy Is an artist that now that I have listened to this short and sweet E.P I genuinely want and am excited to listen to his whole discography. As throughout this E.P he shows some performances that are next to the top of the game with beat selection that is very ... read more
As we have just passed the halfway mark of 2025 about a month ago, I noticed that one of my aoty’s of this year has been left unreviewed?!!
I feel as if this happens a lot with genres I am, honestly not very attached with or very educated about, I always think. Why would someone want an opinion on a genre by a person not immersed much into. Like for example on my review for God Does Like Ugly was about his flows, beat selection and features. But this what would you like me to ... read more
Vanisher, Horizon scraper. The newest addition to what is shaping up to be one of the greatest discographies of all time, if Quadeca is able to so rapidly improve into the future and here is my review upon it.
There are many, many words I could use to describe this album, but I guess I could try put a short summary onto this absolute masterpiece. Dreamy and atmospheric soundscape with addicting and vibrating vocals soothing your ears when needed. The key words I said in that sentence ... read more
Listened to the JID interview and decided I was going to write a review to GDLU. Anyways here it goes. 4th of July, JID drops God Does Like Ugly Preluxe drops, I remember waking in the morning and going straight to my phone to be able to listen to the preluxe, afterwards I went onto AOTY to place my review it was fairly positive, I had a couple complaints about the whole E.P but thought it to be very solid with no tracks that felt really stood out even if (Behold was good and maybe a bit better ... read more
100 Review Special!
“A 10/10 Album”. Many different people disagree on how to differentiate this usage of words. Some believe that a 10/10 album does not exist, others believe that every aspect of album has to be perfect. Now at this point of time you might be thinking what does this 12 year old kid think an album needs to be perfect? Extremely simple it has got to either have “every aspect to be perfect” or it has to be jaw dropping amazing to the point that it puts me ... read more
“The Warm Up”, The Warm Up is in my opinion the most overshadowed J. Cole project because of the extraordinary heights “Friday Night Lights” had. People really downplay how uplifting and inspirational this Mixtape is at such an early stage of J.Cole’s career, along with these positives it seems that that this might have been one of the most mature versions of J.Cole before all those….. Suspect songs. He seems to have an idea and goal on this project, ... read more
@Big Ben thank you for suggesting this album for me it was amazing keep what your doing man
Beloved. This album here is one of my favourite R&B of the year. Even if I haven’t listened to many I can respect how beautiful this project is, it feels as if every song beautifully flows through every song, this with Giveon’s beautiful, concise, voice makes this project BRILLIANT. There’s not many complaints it’s just seems as I can’t rate it higher, there’s really not that much I am able to talk about this album, as I am not as invested in R&B as I ... read more
This is one of those albums that I would show my other friends(who are literally only into hip-hop) if they wanted to see if they like rock/metal. Because when i tell you this I am being honest THiS ALBUM CHANGED MY LIFE. Basically been isolated for the last 2 weeks because I am staying with my uncle and Grandma, which is not a bad thing at all and i love them but I’m used to spending a lot of time with people. Basically what this album told me, to chase after something that is as perfect ... read more
Smooth, concise and remarkable. Isaiah Rashad has been in conversation for a while now, from Cilvia demo, to this, to The House Is Burning. Which I am not a massive fan of outside a couple songs with it being trap oriented, still an average project. Cilvia’s demo for me is still to be reviewed but still I’m sure I’ll enjoy if i enjoyed this project. Anyways this album is a great showing of Isaiah Rashad’s talent. We’re going to start with the positives. There are ... read more
I thought this was extremely mediocre, it kind of feels like any modern trap project brings nothing of real value for me. Isaiah got mainly carried by the guest features, the beats sound like basic trap beats I’ve heard 20 million times. The arrangement is off, he sounds like he has no hunger in him at all, like lil bro you put one amazing ep and an extremely consistent album but you still have something left to prove man second album is just as important album, especially if you have an ... read more
Might be called king’s disease but I’ll tell you this. It seems like the king never had a sickness! In the last couple of years Nas otherwise known as Nasir Jones has put out some of the best records of his career(this being the best one of the last couple of years). Nothing will ever surpass Ilmatic in his catalog for first, but this definitely comes into contention for second place over stillmatic and it was written. The modern production from Hit-Boy is amazing and how Nas is ... read more
One of my biggest problems with most underground projects like this and Griselda in specific is that it has some absolutely horrible features. Like for pray for Paris “party with pop smoke” keisha’s feature is awful and on the last track i think Cartier Williams feature is quite mid. Another problem I have is some of the beat selection and production can be a little lacking like I’ll give you an example Armani Caesar. I genuinely think some of her performances are really ... read more
I don’t think you would realise how close this album is to a 10/10. Productionaly it is always going to be amazing as travis Scott is the mastermind behind this. In my humble opinion the thing that really holds it back from being perfect would be some of the songwriting but the performances are still amazing and nearly make up for it.
One of the best if not the best and masterfully produced albums of this year just came out around 9 days ago and i feel it needs a bit more talk with how amazing it is.
