Aesthetically, is like data channeling from Digi-heaven manifesting itself through sine waves in a meeting lobby
A record with 51 minutes long feeling like 2 massive hours filled with radio-ready songs lacking any sense of charisma. It is completely uninteresting, especially at this point in Bieber's career.
I was only 14 when this album came out, a friend of mine who was a die hard fan of HT/Meteora Eras used to criticize it A LOT, then eventually we grew and matured our taste for music. This album is the most bold and ambitious fusion of the band sonical elements, and it blends so homogenically that has a caring sensibility into it. I wish I could turn back in time so I would’ve enjoyed it more consciously.
This album is fulfilled with parodies of gender norms, and it perfectly conveys how absurd they are to manage and conciliate with self-affirmation when there are so many social roles being played, coming from religion, secular institutions or mundane small interpersonal relations. The most interesting and intelligent take throughout socioidentitary commentaries - and, oh, it sounds like bubblegum bass.
Every song is happily earworming real life into your brain, in a state you can keep alienated. Yet so, being conscious of high and lows of life never felt so funny.
