Where to begin... Parachutes is one of the most cohesive, eloquent, exceptional albums of the 2000s. Every song encapsulates you in its own world and its done so well through heartful lyricsm combined with wonderful instrumental which evidently belongs to the 2000s but is quite nostalgic in a way that compliments the project. Chris Martin is at top of his game in the vocals, one of his best performances. The songs are very relatable, feel incredibly real. You genuinely have to try your absolute ... read more
Arguably the most critically acclaimed work of the British rock band Coldplay, A Rush of Blood to the Head. This is the follow-up to their 2000 album Parachutes (great album by the way). The two are exceptionally different, both sonically and lyrically. Moving on the the album itself, A Rush of Blood to the Head is very mellow, too mellow for my taste. This album, however, is not my cup of tea to say the least. The concept of the album is undoubtedly solid but I think that it lacks the proper execution. Coldplay focused so much on creating a cinematic piece that they lost focus somewhere along the way in this project. It simply feels messy. Death and All His Friends blends the ... read more
