Here Kanye brought the ideas of The college dropout and managed to perfect them with a more polished with a cinematic production, lyricism, skits and concepts that in my opinion are perfectly placed together. Everytime I listen to this album it sounds as mindblowing as the first time I heard it.
This and it's trilogy in general helped me so much during the hardest months of my life, also it singlehandedly made me aware and interested to know more about the shameful racism story in the US ... read more
I can't defend the second half of the album but if his next project sounds as good as the first half it will be aoty idgaf, bro has a majestic voice... And if you add great experimental production to the equation you got peak vibe music, also i can't deny the fact that his past as Filthy Frank adds a lot of mysticism to his music for me.
Highlights: Attention, SDITD, Wanted u, Yeah right
It's crazy to me how John Michel is publicizing this potential aoty on his tiktok like every other random emerging artist ππ bruh is taking greatness in the most humble and calm way
Some amazing hooks, great lyrics and in general a diverse soundtrack that goes so well with the story, I really appreciate Sony for making a hip-hop soundtrack for a kids movie. Into the Spider-Verse might be my favorite animated movie ever going to the cinema to watch it was one of the best decisions I made in my life... This movie singlehandedly made me an artist. What's up danger and Scared to the dark still manage to give me goosebumps
Despite the repetitive production and some freaky ass moments Biggie's revolutionary flows and his top notch lyricism manage to carry this legendary album.
Highlights: Gimme the loot - Me and my bitch - Everyday struggle - Suicidal thoughts and obviously Juicy and Big Poppa
After a few listens I finally get it. Holy fuck this is the best album I ever heard
This was the first album I ever tried to listen to in my life but my low attention spam ahh couldn't finish it. Anyways in this album Eminem showed a very vulnerable part of him while having a incredible lyricism, addictive flows and great creativity, also Dre's production complement his artistic vision very well. An iconic introduction to Slim Shady
Highlights: Brain damage - If I had - Rock bottom - Just don't give a fuck - Still don't give a fuck
The more I listen and analyze it the more I realize how outstanding this album is. Perfect breakup album that you can bump to no matter your mood
For being my first Stevie Wonder listening ever it was so nice, the songs on the half of the album felt a little weird but when it gets good it is really good.
Highlights: Evil, I love every little thing about you, Seems so long
Crazy how she can deliver such a solid concept in just 35 minutes. Beautiful album I loved the production too
Fun and crazy first listen I think this is rated way too low.
Highlights: Push it along - I left my wallet in El Segundo - Bonita applebum - Mr. Muhammad - Description of a fool
Fun Lil album. Highly recommended to listen to this version before the original
