To me this album is only deserving of this rating as a result of being hard carried by 2 parts of the album which are the 09-15-00 (cont.) and both of mf=r. It is extremely disappointing that 09-15-00 and Rockets fall, fall extremely flat for me and couldnt maintain my interest all the way through. I have tried to enjoy Rockets fall so many times across the past 2 years but it never stuck with me.

Its good, but i wont be coming back to this one very often

Keo - Siren

Thorn has to be one of the best tracks of 2025. Spotify shuffle is the MVP for bringing this to my attention. Really digging this album!

Mogwai - Mr. Beast

How is the user score only 78 on this?

Somehow this album manages to blend together these softer post-rock songs that remind you of the best moments of your life and at the same time have absolutely magnificent and powerful post-metal tracks that are intense enough to make you fall over when you hear them live. This album is so fantastic and so underappreciated. One of the best Post-Rock albums i have heard!

Geese - 3D Country

Still listening to many of these tracks on daily basis. Some songs on the other hand were kinda boring to me.

I loved this album from the first listen, I even called it my favorite album of 2023. Looking back on it, I feel that Kai's passing along with the depressing themes on this album made for an extremely emotional listening experience but one that now, over a year later, I don't feel like revisiting very often.

Sampha - Lahai

Another album that i have been listening to on and off since late 2023. Its so classy, i love the beats, i love the production, i love the atmosphere.

Sufjan Stevens - Javelin

Its a relaxing listen, but as its not my type of music I struggle staying present for the entire 42 minute runtime.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - "NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024 28,340 DEAD"

The first album i ever pre-ordered and i am not disappointed by it. To me listening to the album was kind of underwhelming at first, having heard the songs live in Riga on the 12th of April and having developed opinions on the tracks before they fully released made the album fade into the background as a result of The New Sound by Geordie Greep coming out on the same day. Now having listened to all of these tracks including the vinyl track many more times over the past months, i have realised ... read more

My mind was blown when i first listened to it, played some song on repeat for weeks, then stopped listening to it. Now revisiting it feels great, the songs are still fantastic, but i do feel like an album this different is prone to "burnout".

billy woods - GOLLIWOG

Listened to it when it came out, was way more into it back then. I feel like the record is way too long and there don't seem to be any huge stand out tracks on the album. Its consistently good but nothing special.

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!

So many rap records coming out this year its crazy, this one is the best one though!

JID - God Does Like Ugly

From WRK to On McAfee its giga mid, the rest is pretty crazy. Very inconsistent. Its fine though.

"yeah, its like you took words out of my mouth. I dont really get this hype, i feel like when you listen to this album in full front to back because every song sounds almost exactly the same, it becomes boring after first 5."

"honestly based. Psychoboost is an insane song imo but some other songs on the album are straight up unlistanable for example the first song."

"@Metformin Yeah, but its not only about the name BCNR. We see records utilising old school musical ideas incorporated into music for the modern listener all the time on this website and hear a lot of praise for it even if it might not actually be great music. I hope the full album either runs with this baroque style and somehow makes a song like this work when in context of the album, or goes a little bit more in the direction of their magnum opus. So far i am quite disappointed."
